2009 Volunteer Official “Snowman Shirt” Uniform

With so many guests from all over the world attending the Minneapolis convention, it is necessary for our volunteers to stand out and be recognized as “a person who can help”. It has become customary at other conventions to have an “Official Volunteer” uniform so that we can be easily recognizable. For our convention, the Host Committee has selected the following official uniform attire:

• Shirt – The blue “Snowman” shirt that many people have purchased already during Lion Ross Thorfinnson’s recent election campaign. The cost is $35. The Snowman shirt order form is included in this newsletter. The shirts will be delivered to you at your district Mid-Winter Convention or at the Multiple Convention in May. Please order your shirt no later than four weeks before your Mid-Winter Convention.
• Khaki pants, shorts, or skirts
• Comfortable shoes of your choice
• The Host Committee will provide to you, at no cost, a “White Hat” identifying you as a “host committee volunteer”. Your volunteer shift manager will give your hat at check-in.

Volunteers who are registered convention attendees will get an added bonus – a $25 rebate on their registration fee from the Host Committee. Those registered Lion / Lioness / Leo volunteers who complete their volunteer responsibilities will receive a $25 rebate shortly after the convention. This effectively reduces your convention registration fee to $75.

A few other comments about the shirts:

• The volunteer shirts must be pre-ordered using the form provided.
• The shirts will be delivered to your mid winter convention. Your LCI Convention District Liaison will be in charge of distribution.
• The shirts must be ordered at least four weeks before your mid winter convention in order to assure the correct number of shirts and sizes.
• The sizes ranges from Men’s small to 5XL. Tall sizes are not available.
